Windy Cape did their best to provide a 90% generic solution to holding tools. It's impossible with the variety of tools on the market in the carving world to be 100% generic. Some tools are longer and may stick out above the machined holes in the tote. So they've created some spacers to attach on top of the tote where you wish to help with this situation.
There are two types of spacers, one with a 3/4" diameter inner hole and one with a 5/8" diameter inner hole. Both are made of 1/4" birch plywood. All spacers have a peel and stick adhesive on the back and are made to line up over an existing machined hole on your tote. BE CAREFUL this adhesive is strong once you've pressed it into place and should be permanent.
The idea is that in addition to the additional 1/4" height they provide, the size of the hole the tool is dropped through "chokes" up on the handle of the tool providing additional height. Need additional height, just stack multiple.
