UJ Ramelson Tools

Gouges for all types of carving. American-made, hand-forged, heat treated, and tempered high carbon tool steel. All types have flat-sided palm handles. Overall handle diameter is 1-3/8 inches. Overall length is 4-1/2 to 5 inches. 

Ramelson gouges supplied by Stadtlander Woodcarvings are available with either a Factory Edge or an Extra Sharp edge. The factory does their best to provide a sharp edge but inevitably this is a mass production effort. It is recommended that gouges purchased in this condition are sharpened prior to using. Gouges purchased in the Extra Sharp condition have been pre-sharpened by an experienced woodcarver and are ready to use for woodcarving.
